Upskilling domestic care workers
to ensure resilient
employment pathways

Know More About Us

In Europe, there are approximately 8 million formally recognised personal and household workers and at least as many who work undeclared (EUROPA, 2021). Domestic workers are predominantly women and comprise one of the most disadvantaged workforces in the world of work.

DOCUP project aims to reach out to those workers engaging in undocumented and often exploitative work and bring them into the world of visibility by equipping them with critical care skills, knowledge on the bounds of their professional responsibilities and means to ensure agency, social protection, and access to the formal labour market.
